"When I was 19 years old, I was assaulted by a man in his 50s, who I'd come to see as a father figure. I was devastated. For a long time, I wrestled with night terrors, panic attacks, flashbacks, and other PTSD symptoms. Eventually, I confided in a close friend who directed me to SAC. It wasn't until I'd fallen into depression and started having suicidal ideation that I finally reached out for crisis intervention and enrolled in therapy.

Now, I have been happily married for almost a decade and have two beautiful daughters, ages 7 and 5. I also earned my Social Work degree and volunteer to help other sexual assault survivors. I am so glad to finally be in a position to give back some of the healing that was shared with me by SAC."

Sexual assault leaves lasting wounds, and for many survivors, the cost of healing adds another layer of pain. This Giving Tuesday, you can help survivors heal and regain control over their lives.

Our Fundraising Goal: $40,000
the cost of crisis intervention & long-term therapy for 54 survivors**

Every donation makes a HUGE difference. This year, we're asking key partners to rally their friends, families, and networks to support survivor healing. Here is what your generosity does*:

• $25 is the cost of play therapy supplies, helping child survivors regain their voices, confidence & autonomy.
• $50 can cover 2 calls to our 24/7 hotline, providing immediate support when it is needed most.
• $100 is the cost of 1 month of technology needs for 6 therapists, providing the opportunity for telehealth. This allows many survivors the flexibility to receive long term care.
• $250 can provide therapy supplies & the first session for a client, marking the beginning of their healing journey.
• $500 can support the first 2 therapy sessions for a survivor as they work through trauma and regain critical coping skills.
• $1,500 can fuel the initial assessment and new client orientation for 5 survivors.
