Help 23 survivors receive a forensic exam in our SAFE Clinic

Annie, pictured above, never expected this to be her path. After a traumatic experience in her 20s, she began receiving therapy services from SAC -- a decision that marked the beginning of 14 years of ongoing care from the Center.

Now, Annie serves as a dedicated volunteer.

She helps with events and lends her compassion and experience to our MAP program, where she provides medical accompaniment to survivors getting a forensic exam/rape kit.

It's a daunting experience no one wants to go through, but Annie describes it as an "honor" to serve these survivors and to show them there is a positive way forward.

Our goal for Giving Tuesday is $35,000

A forensic exam/rape kit typically costs around $1,500, a cost that survivors will never have to pay for. For Giving Tuesday this year, our goal is the approximate cost for 23 survivors to receive a forensic exam/rape kit in SAC's SAFE Clinic.
